Good grip, great tone

I love this shoulder rest. Smart design that lets you bend and adjust it however you want, very comfortable pad, and unique grips on the feet that stay securely on your violin without sliding around. The bendable shoulder rests are usually a lot more expensive than this, so I'm glad I found it while it was on sale. This one also offers a lot more flexibility. Other bendable shoulder rests like the Bonmusica only bend along the body of the shoulder rest, while still having the regular feet, but the EFEL bends EVERYWHERE! The feet are zigzags that you can stretch out for more height, or compress down for less height, you can twist and bend them to change the angle, you can do anything along the entire shoulder rest. It's genius! My violin teacher liked it so much that he had me order one for him as well!

it's lovely but I feel as if the end for the shoulder isn't extended enough. I have cervical dystknia or torticollis...to the left. I cannot use a chin rest and no matter whst shoulder rest...my viola slips. I need a creative person yo custom.make a rest that works with my anatomy.

I like how the magnet holds the mute when not in use. It helps that it is always in the exact same place for those times when you only have a couple beats to put it on.

This is the most natural shoulder rest I've ever tried and I've tried a lot. I forget it's there. It's secure, so I don't think it will ever fall off and it allow me to move. And it's so light! Going from Bonmusica to this feels like freedom.

I now have arthritis in my right thumb, and I bought this thinking it might help with the pain I’ve experienced after practice. It’s a game changer! Not only does the notch for the thumb help, but the material itself allows your pinky to remain on top without slipping. My new favorite thing!

Finally a viola shoulder rest that doesn't fall off!

I am very happy with the Efel shoulder rest. It stays securely on the viola, can be shaped for a comfortable fit, and is very light. I was tired of my prior shoulder rest that never fit me well as a smaller person and regularly fell off my instrument. The Efel is what I was looking for without breaking the bank.
